Description The Account Reconciliation Professional 1 performs professional accounting work involving compilation, consolidation, and analysis of financial data. May include any or all of the following: ledgers and preparation of journal entries, preparation of trial balance or financial statements, bank and/or customer account reconciliation, and ASO customer reporting/support. The Account Reconciliation Professional 1 work assignments are often straightforward and of moderate complexity. Responsibilities The Account Reconciliation Professional 1 includes any or all of the following: ledgers and preparation of journal entries, preparation of trial balance or financial statements, bank and/or customer account reconciliation, and ASO customer reporting/support. Understands own work area professional concepts/standards, regulations, strategies and operating standards. Makes decisions regarding own work approach/priorities, and follows direction. Work is managed and often guided by precedent and/or documented procedures/regulations/professional standards with some interpretation. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, or a related field Prior experience working with account reconciliations, collections and accounting tasks Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, and multi-dimensional databases Able to meet deadline, work with tight schedules and manage multiple priorities under minimum supervision Preferred Qualifications Previous health insurance industry experience working in a Finance/Accounting department Prior financial reporting experience Strong attention to detail Master's Degree in Business Administration or a related field Knowledge of Hyperion Bilingual English/Spanish. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate inside and outside of Humana. Candidate selected won't be communicating in English with Members. Reporting Relationships You will report to a Finance/Accounting Supervisor.
