Full Time Opportunity General Description This position is responsible for performing compliance testing of policies, and procedures for ensuring compliance with the regulatory requirements applicable to the entities under Popular Inc. ("Popular"). Essential Duties and Responsibilities Identify, document, report and escalate situations of high risk and/or trends. Managing cases of potentially suspicious activity from the automated monitoring system, including an analysis of all transaction activity. Writing a comprehensive analysis of the account activity to support the disposition to close a case or file a SAR. Prepare and complete the Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) to include a comprehensive narrative fully describing the suspicious transactions in accordance with FinCen SAR instructions. Interacting with branch personnel regarding unusual activity to determine if an appropriate resolution can be reached. Analyze the existing high risk areas and support the business units in establishing the necessary action plans. Comply with the Unit's established working paper standards as to documentation of findings. Assists the supervisor in the preparation of necessary reports and documentation for special tasks. Keeps the Supervisor and/or Manager informed of progress, discusses problems and completion status of reviews. Maintains current, complete and accurate records of all relevant communications, reviews, findings, corrective action plans, and evidence of work performed as stated and following in review plan. Education Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field from an accredited university. Experience Experience working with accounts monitoring, applying regulations to day to day processes, investigating data and documenting results. Other Qualifications Knowledge of banking laws and regulations. Excellent analytical capacity. Excellent organizational skills to establish priorities, anticipate challenges, work with multiple tasks simultaneously, work under time pressure and meet deadlines. Excellent interpersonal relationships and teamwork skills. Ability to share information and responsibilities to achieve common department goals. Individual must be well spoken, with excellent bilingual (English and Spanish) writing and presentation skills Analytical, able to effectively define problems and recommend actionable solutions. Working knowledge of federal and local (state) consumer compliance requirements and their applicability to Popular's products, services, and activities. Excellent analytical, communication and report preparation skills. Ability to perform assessments in a variety of different compliance areas.
