Description The Credentialing Representative 1 obtains and reviews documentation to determine status in a health plan. The Credentialing Representative 1 performs basic administrative/clerical/operational/customer support/computational tasks. Typically works on routine and patterned assignments. Responsibilities The Credentialing Representative 1 reviews the applicant's education, training, clinical privileges, experience, licensure, accreditation, certifications, professional liability insurance, malpractice history and professional competence. Reviews the information and documentation collected, as well as verification that the information is accurate and complete. Decisions are limited to defined parameters around work expectations, quality standards, priorities and timing, and works under close supervision and/or within established policies/practices and guidelines with minimal opportunity for deviation. Required Qualifications High School Diploma Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Working knowledge of computers, or a demonstrated technical aptitude and an ability to quickly learn new systems Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or a related field Familiarity with medical terminology and/or ICD-10 codes Additional Information Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, Overtime, needed to work some weekends Training: 2-3 WEEKS Address: Mobile - San Juan, PR Travel: 60% This is a Limited Term position in which associates are paid hourly and receive limited benefits – paid time off accrual (based on hours worked), eligibility to participate in Humana's 401k plan with matching contribution, and access to many of Humana's wellness and well-being programs.
