None Basic Requirements : United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. Completion of residency training, or its equivalent, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification. Proficiency in spoken and written English. Physical requirements outlined below. Preferred Experience: Are you board certified by the American Board of Radiology? Do you have experience as a head manager, department chief, or as a supervisor? Are you familiar with VHA policies and regulations as related to radiology studies and radiation oncology services, knowledge with the accreditation requirements of the Joint Commission, ACR, and other regulatory bodies? Do you have excellent written and oral skills, outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills to include but not limited to, team building, team oversight and facilitation, program/project management, and personnel management? Physical Requirements: The position will require walking, standing or sitting for periods of up to 10 to 12 hours each day. In addition, the incumbent will need to bend, lift and turn. Under urgent or emergency situations, the incumbent will need to run, sprint or run up or down stairs. During on call weeks the physician may have to stay up part or all night and thus may experience short term sleep deprivation.
