Procurement Officer-Puerto Rico

Posting Description Create and maintain approved vendor list Supervise and coordinate workflow for Procurement Assistant Monitor and ensure compliance with procurement and delegation of authority organizational policies Comply with specifications of materials and resources being requested Maintain relationships with vendors, including meeting all deadlines and undertaking transparent negotiations Recommend approval for vendor bids and organize the bidding process In conjunction with Director, Finance & Administration, develop procurement procedures aligned with HFHI policy Work closely with warehouse and programs staff to accurately schedule procurement and storage Manage the customs and regulations process Required Ability to operate effectively in highly changing and difficult environment of a post disaster context Ability to communicate with and influence senior management 3-5 years of experience with international sales and procurement, including experience with customs and import/export 1-2 years of supervisory experience Experience working in an international organization, preferably in an NGO Bilingual in Spanish/English Preferred Experience working with Disaster Response projects Minimum Education Required Bachelors Minimum Experience in Related Role 3 years SDL2017
