The open territory for the Mid-Atlantic region is Florida, Georgia, and Alabama JOB OVERVIEW The Region Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for aggressive growth of emerging real-time dosimetry system and remote medical physics services (consulting services), while successfully managing the base of core legacy dosimetry business in the acute care hospital segment. This position will contribute aggressive growth of new products and services in an assigned, multi-state geography. Focused on new business approximately 75% of the time. Critical to this position is the ability to manage a large geography and multiple call points within a hospital, including clinicians and support staff in the cardiac cath lab and interventional radiology suites, radiation safety officers, medical and health physicists, director levels, and C-level administrators. This position requires interaction with physicians and support staff in patient care areas. The RSM is expected to be in the field with clients and will travel approximately 60% of the time. This position is field-based and requires long hours, the management of large geographies, and overnight travel 2-3 nights per week, most weeks out of the month. SKILLS REQUIRED—TERRITORY MANAGEMENT 1.Develop, implement, and manage a business plan to meet or exceed corporate objectives and sales goals in assigned geography 2.Assess business conditions by geography and call point to successfully target Landauer Comprehensive Radiation Safety Solution. 3.Able to analyze, develop and execute a plan for maximizing territory revenue, using target quota as the goal for developing a territory strategy. Identify customers to protect current base, segment the market to effectively allocate time to various products and geography and manage time for maximum efficiency and effectiveness. 4.Demonstrated success launching new products/services 5.Ability to sell consultative services 6.Ability to sell capital equipment 7.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple call points within a hospital including clinical, administrative, and C-Level 8.Demonstrated success in a fast-paced organization 9.Ability to execute required duties with minimum direction from supervisor. SKILLS REQUIRED—SALES SKILLS Able to demonstrate understanding of and proficiency at executing all key steps in the sales process: Business Planning Prospect Qualification Prospect Development Executive Sponsorship Opportunity Assessment Forecast New Business Conversion Able to effectively develop and convey key messages to customers and colleagues in various forms: Written – craft effective letters and proposals, using proper grammar and spelling Verbal – articulate concise, compelling messages Presentations – create and deliver at a basic level Non-verbal – demonstrate effective listening skills Business Acumen: The candidate should be able to demonstrate awareness of strategies and tactics that are most effective given the unique needs of each client. They must be able to assess financial implications of decisions and actions and apply general understanding of reimbursement economics and group purchasing organizations. Clinical acumen: A strong understanding of clinical data and a curiosity or infinity toward medicine and improvement outcomes. Position requires applicant to be versed in clinical application of product. Technical Proficiency: Able to demonstrate working knowledge with MS Office tools; create cross references, formulas and various formats in Excel, edit slides in PowerPoint, access and send e-mails in Outlook Performance Skills Required: Planning, Prioritizing, and Goal Setting: The candidate must be able to organize and manage multiple projects and tasks. They must develop a detailed business plan utilizing their CRM to coordinate and prioritize their opportunities. Must set goals to guide actions and anticipate customer needs and prepare for challenges in advance. Relationship Management : Able to develop rapport with external and internal stakeholders, recognizing their concerns and feelings; build and maintain long-term relationships based on trust, credibility, responsiveness and helpfulness to others. Commitment to Task : Able to take accountability for actions and outcomes, persists despite obstacles, be available in case of emergency, give long hours to the job, have a willingness and ability to travel, demonstrate dependability in difficult circumstances and show a sense of urgency about getting results.
