What you'll do

In a few words…

Engagement is important, and not just on Social Media, at Abarca too. In fact, at Abarca it's even more important! The Account Executive is the human responsible for the oversight of a dedicated Client and Broker relationship(s) for key accounts. The overall focus is to ensure the highest quality of customer service and the expansion of existing businesses. You're the Abarcan Concierge, taking care of the little details that make our clients' experience with us unique and memorable. You will work closely with the Sr. Manager and VP of Client Services to establish strategies that help provide the ultimate client service, while adhering to strict operational compliance with all client contracts and regulatory requirements.

The fundamentals for the job…

Lead & coordinate the overall team effort.

Live the Concierge role to the fullest by treating your assigned business as an honor and never letting them feel taken for granted.

Use broad knowledge of multiple business areas and the PBM landscape. That means you need to know the business so you can keep up with current and possible future policies, practices, innovations and trends in the organization, with the competition, and in the marketplace.

Build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions. (It all gets summed up by the word concierge, doesn't it?)

Gain insight into customer needs and help ensure a better member experience and value from working with Abarca Health (Engagement is all about relationships.)

Lead and mentor a group of Client Coordinators that will support you in providing superior client service (Client centered is an understatement.)

Make sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory, information in order to effectively solve problems.

Work with cross-functional teams to plan and execute projects and deliver the highest quality of service (Always striving for the best.)

Serve as client SME for in-depth knowledge of Abarca's platform (yup, you'll meet Darwin), products, and services, and communicate them effectively to clients.

Create quarterly presentations and deliver the information to clients, either through an on-site forum or via a conference call (The Power Point Force shall be strong in you...)

Support PBM oversight initiatives, including performance guarantees and discount reconciliations.

Support Business Development with Best & Final meetings.

Meet or exceed (preferred) departmental goals established by the Vice President and Account Management team (As if you would have it any other way. Always over deliver!)

Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

What you're made of

The bold requirements…

Bachelor 's or Master's (preferred) Degree (In lieu of a degree, equivalent relevant work experience may be considered.)

3+ years of experience in the PBM industry preferably with Account Management, Medicare & Medicaid experience (Encounters, PDEs, CMS audits, operations etc.) or other related experience with a PBM

Good negotiation skills with well-developed facilitation and collaboration skills

Knowledge of the underwriting process, pricing, medical terminology, pharmacy claims, and managed care principles and practices is desired.

Ability to independently identify, research, and resolve issues.

Computer proficiency. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) products. Basic digital skills you'll use daily.

Must be able to communicate effectively (read, speak, write, conjure spirits, protest, and dream, etc.) in English.

Highly motivated and willing to work additional coverage times outside of regularly scheduled hours.

Willing to travel depending on business need (10% - 25%).

That something extra we´d love to see…

Analytical & Critical Thinking:Your frequent overanalyzing is one of your trademarks and it helps you foresee things to your advantage. Suffice it to say, details captivate you and you notice every minor change.

Accountable:You own up to what you say and do, and correct things when you make mistakes.

Driven:Your juggling skills are OP and you never miss a deadline. You measure your progress against everyone else's and strive to win at everything. Your legs could be dead halfway through a marathon and you would still finish the race because not getting there is simply NOT an option.

Strategic Thinker & Planner:You live by your schedule. How else could anything get done? Your carefully planned day includes the anticipation of foreseeable obstacles and events and you plan accordingly.

Problem Solver:Your superpower is finding the root of a problem and getting quite creative in how you solve it.

Customer Service:Your attention to detail focuses on the customer so you know what they need even before they do. You manage difficult emotional customer situations with grace, meet commitments, and respond to service and assistance requests with a smile.

Negotiator:Your communication and negotiation tactics are sharp.

The above description is not intended to limit the scope of the job or to exclude other duties not mentioned. It is absolutely not a final set of specifications for the position. It's simply meant to give readers an idea of what the role entails.
