Applications Engineer/ It Programmer - Windows

Description The Applications Engineer codes software applications based on business requirements. The Applications Engineer work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action. Responsibilities You will perform coding, testing, implementation and support tasks in order to develop, maintain, and enhance computer solutions for business needs. This role also includes the ability to do the following: Interpret production trends and abnormalities in order to determine root causes Answer incoming customer calls, resolving specific questions about specific applications Create process improvements for various business segments Participate in Humana's Disaster Recovery exercises Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience Experience in the areas of software development and support Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook. Must be able to read, understand and communicate in both English and Spanish Windows / .NET / C# technology, application development Working Knowledge of SSIS /SSRS and MS SQL Preferred Qualifications Health insurance industry experience Comprehensive understanding of SDLC, OO principles and design patterns Knowledge on IBM DB2 SQL BI/Data mining with MS SQL Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 SDL2017
