Popular has an established
AssociateTrainee Program
for top-rated recently graduated college students. During the program, selected candidates will have the opportunity to rotate through the company as trainees for one (1) year to develop future leaders within Popular through diverse experiences. The trainees will participate in extensive trainings; community and leadership activities; work in special projects with assigned mentors or advisors, who will help them grow and make the most out of the experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Receives training and performs duties in several departments and business units. Learns line and staff functions, operations, management viewpoints, and company policies and practices that affect each phase of business. Participates in job rotations and assigned projects in different business areas of the organization. Prepare and present the data results of the projects analyzed to the management. Monitors performance progress with management and key trainers. Observes experienced employees to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures, and standards required for performance of departmental duties. Receives training in functions and operations of related departments to facilitate subsequent transferability between departments and to provide greater promotional opportunities. Attends company-sponsored training classes.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree
Earn a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better
Experience
Relevant internship or work experience to your educational field
Experience in Leadership positions or individual achievements within student’s organizations
Extracurricular activities (i.e.. volunteer work, mentorship, tutoring)
