System Auditor
- Plans and conducts audits of data processing systems and applications to safeguard assets, ensure accuracy of data, and promote operational efficiency by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Internal Auditor
-
Audits department activities for compliance with management plans, procedures, policies and applicable laws and regulations. Examines records of departments and interviews workers to ensure recording of transactions and compliance. Inspects accounting and financial systems to determine their efficiency and accuracy with established procedures. Analyzes data obtained from test performed to determine that internal controls exists and are working effectively. Prepares, discuss and submits audit findings and recommendations.
System Auditor
- Interviews workers and examines records to gather data. Analyzes data gathered to evaluate effectiveness of controls and determine accuracy of reports and efficiency and security of operations. Plans, writes, and tests computer programs required to obtain information needed for audit. Devises controls for new or modified computer applications to prevent inaccurate calculations and data loss, and to ensure discovery of errors. Prepares, discuss and submit audit findings and recommendations.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience
A minimum of two years related experience in internal or external auditing, preferably in financial institutions.
Certifications / Licenses
CPA
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
