Job purpose:
Representative will be responsible for ensuring excellent and efficient customer service, ensuring that all covered services are authorized and placed in a timely manner, as well as provide support for the other required functions.
Duties and responsibilities:
As Authorization Analyst, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Ensure proper file management and implementation of authorized service.
Responsible for monitoring, tracking and obtaining new authorizations before the expiration date or upcoming service.
Work closely with payers to provide all necessary records for authorization.
Work closely with patients to coordinate insurance authorization.
Maintain an effective and good relationship with all agency contacts.
Complete all Data Entry as required.
Accountable for running and analyzing reports to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
In charge of creating and obtaining communication notes for prior and present authorizations.
Comply with checking EPACES for eligibility of patients missing authorizations for the next month.
Communicate and interact with other departments in a responsible, proactive, and efficient manner.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in business administration field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in authorizations setting.
Preferable with three (3) or more years of experience in administration or claims management
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills to handle sensitive, confidential situations and information.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to excel in a deadline-driven fast paced environment.
Committed to a team environment and customer service excellence.
Professional telephone courtesy.
Extensive knowledge of computer software (preferably, Windows and Microsoft Office).
Excellent spelling, grammar, verbal/written and telephone communication skills in English and Spanish.
