Guaynabo, PR Our Automation team in our Guaynabo, PR location is currently looking for a bright, ambitious Automation Engineer who enjoys team work and on-going challenging projects. Process Automation Solutions Inc., a Division of ATS, is currently seeking talent with experience in Automation Engineering in the Life Sciences industry. Job description: •Responsible for the design, implementation, testing, startup, and commissioning of process automation software and hardware for S88 batch based control systems, while adhering to cGMP, GDP, and change control standards. •With minimal guidance, schedule and execute project tasks as a team lead, as a member of a project team or as an individual providing direct support to a customer. •Ability to prioritize and execute automation mandates within a schedule and budget, while complying with required quality metrics. •Provide automated process expertise and consulting to customers. •Generate software/hardware requirement and detailed design specification documents for new and existing automation systems. •Investigate and analyze customer problems in order to provide design improvement recommendations and a plan to achieve them. •Troubleshoot and diagnose automation and process control system problems. Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science, with a minimum of 3 years related automation/controls experience preferably in the FDA regulated industry. •Knowledge and programming skills needed for PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS, and Batch. Data Historian, Reports, SQL database and Visual Basic preferred. •Programming/design ""hands-on"" experience with S88 batch based control systems. •Leadership and team management experience preferred. •Knowledge of IT practices with respect to Windows Operating Systems and Networking preferred. •Working effectively in a team environment. •Knowledge of GAMP and cGMP. •Candidates must be bilingual (Spanish/English) and have excellent oral and written technical communication skills •Proficient using MS Office software and common software tools. •Position is regular, full-time employment in Puerto Rico. Travel within PR is required, with project opportunities for travel and/or relocation to the USA and Europe. •Comprehensive compensation and benefits package (life, medical, 401k w matching).
