General Description
The business analyst is responsible for analyzing and modeling existing business processes. The goal of business process analysis is to understand and document current business procedures and identify areas for improvement. A thorough understanding of the current state of the organization is necessary prior to recommending changes related to implementing a new business solution.?The business analyst uses modeling tools to document the current state of business processes as well as the desired future state. The business analyst is responsible for the knowledge transfer of business implications to the application/database developers and project managers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assure the operations of supported services are delivered in accordance of contractual requirements.
Will be responsible for the monitoring of Critical IT Vendors Service Level Agreements. This includes, identifying improvements and developing new Service Level with our vendors and Operational Level agreements within Popular.
Enable decision making by optimizing activities within teams. This includes but is not limited to reviewing test scripts and internal processes.
Will review Post-Incident Mortums to determine recurrent failures and overview and/or create new playbooks to prevent issues. Playbooks will be documented for different business units.
Will have active role in Incident Management process. This includes, data gathering, root cause analysis, manage incident lifecycle, while ensuring normal service operation is restored as quickly as possible.
Gathers, reviews and analyzes business results to help identify business problems and propose solutions.
Will work as Liaison among stakeholders in order to obtain, analyze, communicate and validate requirements and functional specifications to identify team efficiencies and ensure optimal performance.
Consolidates information and creates dashboards for us in management decision making and provide visibility of team efforts.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems
Experience
At least three years related experience in business analysis or project coordination.
