GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Analyzes compensation and variable plans results and processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned)
Support and help drive the agenda of the Compensation/Analytics function by analyzing existing compensation programs and processes and their impact in the organization. Supports or leads key compensation initiatives to ensure alignment with the organization's strategic pillars and priorities. Works as a liaison with Talent Acquisition function to ensure that employees are getting fair and competitive pay.

Support the Compensation team in a variety of topics such as: pay equity analysis and job structure overview. Analyze, evaluate and present statistical data of variable compensation plans to help identify business results, effectiveness of plans, problems and propose solutions.

Complies with federal and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. Assists in the modelling of appropriate level of compensation funding required for certain business lines, including forecasting compensation pools while working closely with HR and Finance partners.
Perform independent analysis of internal and benchmarking data to support compensation needs for business units, as well as ensure that . Prepare and present recommendations to stakeholders.

Completes special projects by clarifying project objective; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing, organizing and presenting information.

Maintains the highest level of collaboration, partnership, and ability to work within all levels of Popular.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Finance or Accounting from four:year college or university. A minimum of two (2) years of experience in HR/Compensation or Business Analytics, with strong analytical, mathematical, and data/information management skills.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:
The following certifications and/or licenses are desirable:
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
Project Management Professional (PMP)
Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
Professional for Human Resources Management (PHR)
Senior Professional for Human Resources Management (SPHR)
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
