GENERAL SUMMARY
A Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for analyzing, reviewing and implementing websites that are optimized to be picked up by search engines. SEO specialists conduct various testing methods in design, layout and advertising techniques in order to gain the most organic and paid traffic.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Your duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Analyze client website architecture, content, backlink profile and other factors to identify and execute initiatives to improve organic search visibility in Google.
Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits of websites and create an actionable plan for improvement and site optimization.
Understanding of SEO technical concepts (sitemaps, crawl stats, robots.txt, http status codes, HTML elements, hyperlinks, etc.)
Understanding search engine ranking factors
Assist with non-incentivized link building strategies (Off-page SEO) and execution.
Perform On-page optimization.
Manage site content, proofread and edit content for SEO, working with department manager to establish topics and the timeline for workflow.
Use various third-party SEO tools such as Ahrefs, MOZ, Screaming Frog to monitor website performance and identify opportunities to improve organic visibility.
Work with team to improve and expand our SEO services and help grow our SEO customer base and services we offer.
Work with manager on improving processes and strategies for: keyword list development and competitor analysis other strategies that maximize on-site conversion of organic traffic.
Understanding basic SEO concepts such as CTR, bounce rates, pageviews, DA, Spam Score, etc.
Conduct analysis at least quarterly to identify further optimization opportunities for SEO.
Closely monitor algorithm updates and anticipate future shifts in SEO best practices.
Identify opportunities for both short term and long-term objectives to increase search engine visibility.
Strong experience using Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing preferred with minimum of 2 years of Digital Marketing experience focused on SEO or related field.
Excellent English oral and written communication
Experience with a content management system such as WordPress and/or Joomla is a plus.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams, both within and between organizations.
Strong interpersonal, communication, self-management and organizational skills.
Experience working on SEO for multiple sites simultaneously
Experience with conversion optimization and A/B testing is a plus.
