What Direct Sales contributes to Cardinal Health Direct Sales is responsible for driving sales and services to new and/or existing customers to meet individual and organizational sales objectives. Accountabilities Applies knowledge of the customer's business to develop optimal solutions Designing and implementing an strategic sales plan that expanse company customer base and ensure its strong presence Identify emerging markets and market shift while being fully aware of new products and competition status Develops and implements policies and procedures to achieve organizational goals Proactively and with a regular cadence demonstrates to the customer the defined value of partnering with Cardinal Health both pre- and post-sales Effectively negotiates and collaborates with the customer and colleagues to influence support for mutually beneficial outcomes and achieve consensus Maintains open and consistent dialogue with internal contacts and external customer end-users to ensure the Cardinal Health team is meeting or exceeding expectations; assesses the root cause of unmet expectations and takes action to resolve them Identifies and qualifies new sales opportunities and develops plans for introducing new solutions through collaborative relationships Qualifications Bachelor's degree required in Business Administration or related field is required Graduate degree preferred 5yrs minimum healthcare sales experience: medical and pharmaceutical products Previous experience as a sales executive, sales manager or sales and marketing director Ability to travel 25% of time Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level Excellent planning, forecasting, negotiation and presentation skills Must be fully bilingual What is expected of you and others at this level Provides leadership to managers and experienced professional staff may also manage front line supervisors Manages an organizational budget Develops and implements policies and procedures to achieve organizational goals Assists in the development of functional strategy Decisions have an extended impact on work processes, outcomes, and customers Interacts with internal and/or external leaders, including senior management Persuades others into agreement in sensitive situations while maintaining positive relationships Cardinal Health is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
