General Description
The eDiscovery Specialist will work in a hands-on capacity to identify, preserve, collect, and analyze electronically-stored information. The analyst must have a high attention to detail, be very flexible, and have the ability and desire to learn new technical tools and procedures. Specialist will report directly to the eDiscovery Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform eDiscovery work utilizing defined procedures and tools.
Manage and oversee electronic document collections from on premise repositories and cloud-based services.
Search and filter collected data per instructions.
Recommend refinements to searches when appropriate.
Analyze data as required using computer assisted review technologies.
Communicate with data custodians and requesters as necessary.
Collaborate with in house counsel, outside counsel, external vendors, and other internal IT groups.
Handle exceptions that occur during the performance of technical work.
Identify technical exceptions occurring in a variety of software tools.
Contemplate a variety of technical solutions using eDiscovery and IT skills, expertise, and creativity.
Collaborate with eDiscovery management, requesters, internal IT resources, and others to ascertain the appropriate solution.
Be accountable for the resolution of technical exceptions.
Perform audits on technical work.
Perform administrative tasks.
Accurately and timely report progress, schedule, and issues for technical work.
Accurately and timely document technical work.
Education
Associate’s Degree from an accredited university. Juris Doctor and/or Information Technology degree preferred.
Experience
2+ years of litigation paralegal experience with a law firm or corporate legal department, and/or 4+ years of hands-on eDiscovery experience.

Experience gathering information in a timely manner.
Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
Excellent communication (i.e. verbal and written) and presentation skills. Must be able to write clearly and concisely in English and Spanish.
Ability to foster trusting relationships with colleagues and clients.
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
Experience creating reports and ability to analyze data for management reports.
Detail oriented with strong time and project management skills.
Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite.
Strong analytical skills.
Proven ability to work independently with little direction, along with being able to work effectively in as part of a team.
