Employment Category: Regular, Part-time Job Function: Facilities/Maintenance Store ID: 08975: Sears Puerto Rico FMDC Jobs in this category are responsible for performing general and preventative maintenance for equipment, machinery, structures and grounds and assists skilled maintenance personnel with more complex repairs throughout the Distribution Center. Job Requirements Maintains, changes, and charges batteries for powered equipment to ensure efficient workflow Operates heavy grounds keeping equipment and snowplows to maintain grounds Paints, plasters, and performs other building maintenance functions, including plumbing and carpentry in order to maintain and repair facilities Completes minor and routine maintenance, such as changing light bulbs, and assists skilled maintenance personnel with more complex repairs or maintenance, such as repairing light fixtures and all other maintenance responsibilities Assists with preventative maintenance to ensure the proper function of distribution center equipment Performs other duties as assigned Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills Basic knowledge of hand and power tools with some experience with lathes, milling machines, welders, bandsaws and tablesaws Basic knowledge of carpentry, painting, plumbing and small machines Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions Ability to lift and move merchandise, parts and tools, typically a minimum of 30 lbs., but could be as much as 70 lbs. Ability to perform repetitive bending, lifting, stretching, reaching and climbing Must be 18 years of age or older Distribution 8975 SDL2017
