The Human Resources Manager will partner with client groups to understand business needs and objectives, develop and deliver HR programs and solutions in support of client objectives. Provide human resources coaching, guidance, and support to management and employees on all HR matters including performance management, employee engagement, fair employment practices, employee relations, and employee communications. Partner with recruiting and compensation teams in developing proactive strategies for attracting needed talent, on-boarding new team members, and ensuring we are providing the best possible entry into our company; Participate in and lead various company –wide HR projects. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Serve as key day to day contact for corporate and shared services team members across multiple locations; provide expertise in coaching and advising managers and employees on HR programs, processes, and procedures. Utilize best practice HR approaches in the analysis, development, and implementation of improvements to HR processes and programs including New Employee Orientation, key performance metrics, compliance related items, performance management, employee relations, employee separation, employee communications, and policy administration. Research and resolve employee relations issues in a timely manner; provide coaching to all parties, and recommend appropriate actions. Perform and analyze exit interviews so that potential problems are surfaced to the correct areas for action and problem avoidance. Partner with recruiting and compensation teams in developing appropriate job descriptions and making compensation recommendations for new positions and reorganizations. Design and implement effective communication methods in support of HR initiatives. Utilize project management methods to participate in or lead various projects. Responsible for leave administration including FML, ADA, and employee protection plan; partner with employee data management and coordinate with payroll as needed; manage unemployment inquires. Responsible for maintenance of employee records and files in accordance with internal and external compliance. Perform other duties as assigned. Job duties may be modified at any time. Minimum Requirements Current ABM employees and contractors will be given priority consideration. A bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or other related field is required. Requires 7 to 9 plus years progressively responsible HR Management and generalist experience. Bilingual English / Spanish is required. Must demonstrate current knowledge of employment law and regulations including FMLA, ADA, and FLSA. Must demonstrate working knowledge of current best practices in Human Capital Management. Must demonstrate general working knowledge of job evaluation and compensation processes. Requires working knowledge of MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point . Must demonstrate comfort speaking in front of groups and working with all levels of an organization. Must demonstrate ability to influence and educate clients and co-workers on HR policy and best practices. Must demonstrate ability to lead by example and work as part of a team as well as individually with minimal direction. Must demonstrate general project management skills and approach. Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills appropriate for a corporate environment. SPHR or PHR certification or evidence of acquiring certification a plus.
