General Description
We are looking for Cloud Lead Architect under the Information Technology division. This individual should have a combination of hands-on cloud architecture experience as well as solid leadership skills to lead the enablement of our cloud strategy, in alignment with Enterprise Architecture and Cloud Leadership.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the Cloud Center of Excellence as a cross-functional team for the cloud adoption, migration and operations that the rest of the organization can leverage for business transformations
Responsible for working with the Cloud Leadership Team to ensure alignment to Cloud Strategy
Lead the design and development of cloud infrastructure and cloud services
Establish architectural standards that enable DevOps practices such as infrastructure as code, and CI/CD
Responsible for development and validation of cloud policies, standards, and best practices
Aides in developing a cloud platform & architecture strategy, establishing governance, facilitating adoption and establishing cloud center of excellence
Provide oversite and leadership for the iterative cloud capabilities roadmap
Translate organizational level business requirements and use cases into infrastructure capabilities verified to meet the requirements
Constantly develop knowledge of current and emerging technologies. Research new and emerging solutions, assesses their relevance and potential value to the organization and present information to teammates and management
Aid in steering the technology direction and standards
Education
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
(PREFERRED) Certificates and Licenses
AWS Certified Solutions Architect
Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
Experience
At least 5 years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas: Cloud technologies, Infrastructure Technologies, Integration, API Management, Enterprise Architecture, Operations, Security, Application Architecture, Application Development, Application Performance.
Experience with software development methodologies and secure coding practices.
Experience managing the application delivery process is a plus.
Experience in financial services/banking a plus.
Knowledge and Skills
10+ years of relevant IT experience
5+ years working with public cloud platforms
Cloud adoption leadership experience
Experience with data center operations
Extensive knowledge of hardware, software, networking and storage
Experience architecting cloud infrastructures on Amazon Web Services (AWS) for small, medium scale and enterprise level applications in a highly regulated environment
Broad experience with cloud adoption, including application readiness assessment, prototyping of new environments, server builds, data migration, performance tuning of cloud environments
Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps and working in an agile environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with great attention to detail and accuracy, intuitive, assertive, proactive, positive
Experience in agile/scrum environment is a plus
