General Description
We are looking for a Security Architect under the Information Technology Division. In this position you will be determining security requirements, preparing security standards, architecture patterns, blueprints, and procedures and mentoring team members in alignment with Enterprise Architecture and Cyber Security. We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Architect to help in the effort to define our cloud strategy, validate requirements commensurate with risk and to design security controls for our cloud environments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of security architectures for protecting systems and data deployed into the cloud.
Contribute to the overall enterprise cloud architecture strategy and the security vision and strategy around IaaS/PaaS/SaaS cloud deployments.
Define and implement cloud security threat and risk mitigating controls aligned to best practices, addressing operational enablement including monitoring, automated alerting and actionable remediations.
Work with support teams across business teams to ensure all cloud deployments and resources are aligned with security controls and best practices.
Serve as an authoritative point of contact for all matters related to cloud security controls, implementation, and enforcement.
Continually reviews and evaluates cloud security solutions, practices and gaps with applied controls.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
At least 10 years of professional experience in information security including enterprise security design and architecture for cloud environments, network, systems and related services such as DNS, Directory and operational management technology and procedures.
(Preferred) Certificates and Licenses:
AWS Certified Solutions Architect
CISSP: Certified Information Systems Security Professional
CCSP: Certified Cloud Security Professional
Knowledge and Skills:
Hands-on experience implementing various security solutions, systems security and deploying security controls in cloud-based environments.
In depth understanding of enterprise cybersecurity standards, frameworks and best practices.
Proven ability to think strategically and to translate strategic directives into pragmatic tactical initiatives.
Demonstrated hands on expertise securing public cloud environments.
In depth understanding of cybersecurity benchmarks for cloud technologies.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with individuals of varying backgrounds, levels, and technical expertise.
Knowledge of networking, engineering, including DNS, Active Directory, firewalls, load balancers and other common core services.
Familiarity with cloud native technologies, automation and best practices.
Knowledge with the cloud security and other cybersecurity industry frameworks and configuration standards.
A working understanding of code and script such as: Python, Node.js. and JSON/YAML.
