The Lead, Plant BU Finance is the lead finance role for the Manufacture Technology and Operations site in Johnson & Johnson’s supply chain. The site has lower levels of complexity and spend than most others in the network.
The primary responsibility for this position is, as a member of the Plant Leadership Team, to provide financial guidance and counsel to that team as it delivers on its financial commitments. These commitments are both Long Term (competitiveness) and short term (Target achievement) in nature. This individual will support the Leadership team in selecting & prioritizing key initiatives to achieve these goals. They will also monitor and help to mitigate associated risks.
You will:
Provide financial analysis, inclusive of calculating, analyzing and presenting the manufacturing P&L and understanding and applying cost accounting concepts for the plant
Manage capital spend, human capital, and capital investment for the site
Forecast and evaluate financial performance of the manufacturing site including assessing risks and opportunities and making recommendations to improve performance in a compliant manner
Provide financial guidance and counselling the individual will be responsible for developing business cases for investment and constructively challenging business partners to improve financial outcomes in the short and long term
Be accountable for financial statement integrity –P&L and Balance Sheet
Be accountable for financial integrity means attestation that financial statements are accurate, with a high degree of assurance
Attest that financial statements are complete and accurate through standard review and approval processes. The senior Manager is responsible to understand the impact of business models and decisions on the financial statements, including the proper accounting treatment for complex transaction
Supervise individual finance professional(s)
Support the recruiting, training, motivating, developing and coaching the individual(s) on the team in an open, compliant and inclusive environment.
Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required, an advanced degree is preferred
A minimum of six (6) years of experience in finance related field is required
Business experience in one or more of the following areas Finance, Budgeting, Manufacturing, Project Management, Mergers & Acquisitions is required
Ability to work in cross-functional teams in the following areas: financial analysis & reporting, asset/liability management, portfolio management, budget and control, ability to combine business needs with functional objectives is preferred
Management Practices, Ability to influence others in a matrix organization, Enterprise mindset is required
Proven track record of effective business partnership & results delivery
Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills
Big picture orientation with attention to detail is preferred
Sound knowledge of a broad range of finance aspects is preferred
Ability to speak English & Spanish is preferred
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time may be required
