ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (A summary of the purpose of the position)
1. Maintenance Planner will plan and schedule available resources and materials for maintenance activities associated with preventative and corrective maintenance in the most effective and efficient way.
2. Develop the detail work scope and setup forecasts for resource allocation to ensure preventative and corrective work activities are completed in conjunction with manufacturing operations activities.
3. Is responsible for overseeing work order activity compliance with regulatory requirements (i.e. FDA, DEA, OSHA).
4. Improve work force productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of labor, parts and material, tools and equipment, required permits, specialized documentation and equipment access.
5. Compiles and maintains the master PM schedule to establish a sequence and lead time of each operation to meet scheduling dates according to production forecast or machine specific needs
6. Accurate coordination between the various maintenance groups and facility supervisors/managers
REQUIREMENTS:(Minimum required to perform the job)
1. 5+ years of experience in Utilities-maintenance related fields within the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Medical Device, Food and Beverage, and Healthcare Industries with thorough working knowledge of cGMPs
2. Associate degree or equivalent from 2 year college technical school preferred
3. In lieu of degree, Technical College diploma with 10+ years of experience required or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
4. Strong knowledge of CMMS systems and related systems/software
5. Strong knowledge of work management processes, labor estimating, resource balancing, etc
6. Good working knowledge of facilities equipment and O&M requirements
7. Strong understanding of proper OSHA safety practices and procedures
8. Good organization skills
9. Technical writing ability
10. Strong oral and written communications skills
11. Knowledge of the purchase order system and requisition procedures.
12. Must be flexible and responsive to the needs of the business
13. Must have the ability to overcome obstacles and have the organizational skills necessary to complete assignments in a timely manner.
14. Demonstrated ability to be proactive in problem solving and to lead the resolution of equipment problems
