Manager Quality Control – Incoming (Second Shift)

What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world! In this vital role you will be responsible for leading the Quality Control Incoming second shift organization. Supervision of direct reports, development of staff, leading project teams, motivating teams, and monitoring GMP compliance of function. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ensure that the Incoming area follow Amgen compliance quality policies and regulatory expectations.
Leads the inspection of component area, using Lean and Operational Excellence tools.
Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
Primary point of contact for evaluation of compendia changes impact to the site.
Responsible for motivating, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
Maintains Incoming service by enforcing quality and customer service standards.
Analyzes and resolves laboratory issues, establishes robust CAPA’s and interact with contract laboratories and suppliers.
Maximize performance by introducing processes and procedures; partner with departments to drive changes.
Promote a positive working environment of partnership and collaboration throughout the Department and organization.
Translate organizations strategy and mission into relevant department goals.
Maximize performance by introducing processes and procedures; partner with departments to drive changes.
Develop training curriculum for department.
Assess department capacity, strategize, and deliver results on time.
Identifies opportunities and drive initiatives to reduce error, focus on efficiency, and reduce cycle time.
Creates and maintains robust laboratory processes.
Understands, uses, and executes electronic and Quality systems.

We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients! The Manager Quality Assurance professional we seek is a strong leader with these qualifications.
Doctorate degree
OR
Master’s degree and 3 years of operations experience in a GMP regulated environment
OR
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of operations experience in a GMP regulated environment
And
Previous managerial experience directly handling people and/or experience leading teams, projects, programs or managing the allocation of resources.
Beyond this, additionalPreferred Qualificationsare:
Educational background in Engineering
Strong leadership skills with a robust managerial experience leading people and tam development.
Strong continues improvement knowledge/mindset and experience with the Operational Excellence tools.
Experience working effectively with diverse departmental groups.
Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills in English and Spanish.
