Role Overview This position manages a team of intermediate or experienced professionals in Test and Validation, leads project efforts, integration and testing, applies specialist knowledge, and coordinates preparation of business plans. Primary Responsibilities: Oversees and manages a team of professionals for a medium/large size engineering testing project. Establishes validation standards and develops testing protocols for all platforms/projects/systems. Reviews and submits documentation of testing/validation results and confirms operations according to necessary regulations to ensure production quality all platforms/projects/systems. Provides leadership to team members on all protocols for testing/validation. Measures, analyzes and calibrates equipment and processes to ensure quality. Ensures systems perform according to necessary specifications. Confirms operations according to necessary regulations to ensure production quality. § Establishes validation standards and develops testing protocols. Prepares equipment for testing. Documents test results and maintains records for later analysis. Coordinates with other departments who will be affected by testing. Manage the Test Equipment Maintenance for ICT, Functional Test and ESS Non-Conforming Material Disposition Support and Management Manage Test Engineers and Test Technicians supporting: Test Equipment Performance Product Troubleshooting Failure RCA at component, board and system level Responsible for the development or definition of equipment for the Test process at the board and system level. Manage work assignments in staffing, scheduling, coordinating, and planning of personnel engaged in Test engineering activities. Plans and establishes engineering schedules and follow up performance against baseline estimates. Define new policies or procedures as necessary. Discuss Test coverage issue and enhancements with BU Test Engineering Teams Drive design modifications to improve Test coverage and product quality Explore cost reduction opportunities for Test area Basic Qualifications: Candidates for this role should possess a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced degree and 3 years of prior relevant experience Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering 5 years of experience in Test Engineering; ICT, Functional Test and ESS of PCB's (PC Boards) preferred 3 years of experience supervising Technical Groups or Departments Ability to travel 25% of time Six Sigma Black Belt certification is a plus. Demonstrated Competencies managing multifunctional teams Requires strong technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent oral and written communications skills. Demonstrated analytical and conceptual skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment. Proficiency in PC applications, such as Outlook, Excel, Word, SAP, Solumina and PowerPoint. Demonstrated ability to lead and/or participate in team endeavors. Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to prioritize. Strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills.
