The Mechanical Systems and Components (MS&C) Environmental Control Systems (ECS) organization has an immediate need for a System Engineer to work on various Air Transport, Regional, Business and Military aircraft. This position reports to the Technical Airframe Integration and Test Senior Technical Manager and the broader MS&C Environmental Controls System organization. The primary responsibility of this position is to apply technical expertise to integration testing of complex systems and controls requirements development. Participating in all aspects of aircraft and system integration design and development activities with an emphasis on military applications Provides technical leadership to other disciplines, interfaces with internal leaders and external customers, chief engineers and subject matter experts to accomplish program objectives Leads the development of ECS system, component, controls and software requirements Key Responsibilities Requirements analysis Systems validation & verification Customer interaction Project coordination YOU MUST HAVE Bachelors degree in a Science or Engineering field 5 years of aerospace hardware/controls development life cycle experience WE VALUE Some engineering, verification and validation strategies, process and procedures, root cause corrective action and control system development, integration and system qualification testing experience Some tools and processes in support of aircraft integration efforts experience Strong demonstration of Diversified Technology and Manufacturing Leader behaviors with exceeding behaviors in Self-Awareness/Learner, Gets Results, Leadership Impact, and Makes People Better Strong, effective verbal and written communication skills Highly motivated and facilitate creating a positive environment where all team members can flourish and be successful Some leadership: Ability to direct and lead teams with minimal oversight experience Some mentoring to team members experience Performance: Achieves technical milestones on time and within budget Adapts quickly to program changes and problems Maintains positive relationships with customers and suppliers Ability to clearly communicate system risks, requirements and objectives to the customer, program management, equipment and controls stakeholders throughout the system development process
