The Mortgage Servicing Quality Control Compliance & Analytics Supervisor is responsible for managing control tests of all areas of residential mortgage servicing. This will include loan level file testing to determine compliance with policies and procedures and applicable laws and investor guidelines. The QC CA Supervisor will manage the review and arbitration with the line of business and work closely with other departmental areas to ensure a streamlined and compliant process. Results will be reported monthly to Senior Management and Board of Directors, as directed. Working Relationships The QC CA Supervisor reports to the Mortgage Servicing Quality Control Manager. The position routinely interacts with the various business units within risk management, mortgage servicing, retention, compliance, internal audit and outside vendors. Key Tasks and Responsibilities Responsible for managing staff in performing source data queries to identify populations available for testing Responsible for managing staff in establishing a sampling methodology for quality control testing and performing monthly sample population selections Responsible for guiding and training personnel in the performance of assigned work Manage any assigned goals or initiatives of the mortgage servicing quality control department including, but not limited to, process improvement, process redesign and business process transformation Build and maintain relationship with management and third-party vendors, as assigned Manages documentation and processes to ensure risks and control points are properly addressed in accordance with policies and procedures Develops, implements and maintains policies, procedures, job aids, and training aids for testing and review/arbitration staff Works with other compliance and risk areas to identify specific areas for focus and targeted review Works to address all regulatory changes with staff as identified by the business as well as other Quality Control departments Works with servicing leadership to identify quality control findings and enhance and implement controls to address deficiencies Develops policies, procedures and programs to ensure compliance with existing regulations and best practices Identifies and resolves problems in a timely fashion Point of Contact for all internal and external examination requests. Will lead any efforts to provide required documents, remediation plan, or materials in the allotted timeframe Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications MBAs and JDs degrees preferred, or equivalent work-related experience Strong analytical background a must Fully bi-lingual – Spanish and English. Most be able to write detail reports and develop data analytics dashboards for Senior Management using an audit, risk-based approach and regulatory focus. Minimum 2 to 3 years of mortgage servicing, mortgage banking and/or audit equivalent experience 3 years of management experience managing multiple teams and diverse tasks/operations preferred Working knowledge of federal and state regulatory servicing requirements Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA and USDA experience preferred with an understanding of quality control requirements Knowledge of MSP (Black Knight) Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills Proficient with Mortgage Loan Documents required Strong written and verbal communication skills a most Good organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Ability to adapt quickly to changes and perform in a fast-paced environment Ability to manage staff expertise and levels in accordance with testing and sampling methodologies Ability to oversee analytics determining sampling methodology, root cause analyses, trending and reporting Ability to identify internal control deficiencies and recommend potential solutions where appropriate Ability to work effectively across the organization to ensure that controls are effectively communicated and tested Demonstrated leadership or management experience Ability to lead and manage tasks and personnel through processes and procedures, including change management Ability to build effective relationships as needed to effectively address issues and obstacle Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
