The purpose of this role is to perform the routine practice of optometry using independent professional judgement under the general direction and supervision of the EVP, Professional Services and within the scope of state law and the policies of For Eyes. Responsibilities: Performs the minimum clinical procedures and appropriate additional testing as indicated, based on the needs of the patient and as defined by Current Procedural Technology (CPT) Effectively serves scheduled appointments and walk-in patients Documents any and all information and data required to manage the patients' visual and ocular health needs Accurately interprets data from clinical exam, makes and documents sound clinical diagnoses and takes appropriate action to ensure patients' needs are met Appropriately documents and communicates the clinical action plan, including but not limited to optical and/or medical prescriptions and referral to other providers Writes referral and clinical summary letters to other providers or agencies as appropriate, including but not limited to the completion of forms and other like documents Teams with optical staff to ensure timely and convenient service are given to patient when their services are needed Attends and contributes to store meetings in order to keep up with business events and policy changes Contributes to daily office operations and identifies and reports problems that result in inefficient operations or poor patient service, and identifies possible solutions Provides clinical oversight of optometric technician staff and shares performance feedback with store manager at regular intervals Adheres to HIPAA guidelines and secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records and keeping patient information confidential Serves and protects the clinical practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state and local requirements Enhances the reputation of the practice as well as overall patient satisfaction and loyalty by accepting ownership for patient requests. Explores opportunities to add value Protect all company assets including cash, all bank deposits, inventory, and equipment Treat the business as if it were your own practice with the highest level of integrity and ethics in all aspects of the operation Qualifications: Doctor of Optometry degree from accredited school of Optometry Must possess and maintain active state license in good standing Must have NPI or obtain NPI prior to start date DPA and TPA Certification Completed CAQH application Minimum of two years of related work experience is preferred Ability to run a practice based on the highest level of ethics and integrity Ability to maintain organized and concise patient and employee documentation Ability to interact with various constituents with patience and flexibility and a focus on team-building (including customers/patients, coworkers, employees, ownership) SDL2017
