Pharmacovigilance Specialist

Receives and evaluates safety notifications regarding pharmaceutical products and combined products Triages and classifies safety notifications into initial cases or follow-up to an existing case. Register cases into the applicable tracking system. Opens and maintains files for each case. Using the appropriate system completes and submits initial safety reports within the established timelines to be in compliance with applicable regulations. Requests additional information to the reporter and submits follow-up reports as required, in compliance with applicable regulations. Consults, when necessary, with the Medical Director or with the Affiliate Safety Representative (ASR) the seriousness and causality of the medical event. Files documents related to safety reports according to established procedures and maintains proper filing system for easy retrieval of any necessary record. After appropriate evaluation, investigation and follow-up, closes each case when all applicable information has been collected and reported, and no more information is available. Bachelor's degree in health/science discipline.Minimum years of experience are not required.Working experience within pharmaceutical industry, in particular pharmacovigilance is preferred. Professional experience in disease management in a patient/health related field preferred.Good writing and oral skills in English and Spanish. Computer proficient with Microsoft programs particularly Word and Excel. Ability to work with multiple priorities in a work environment with frequent interruptions.Ability to perform team work.
