Job Description
The Planner position is a temporary position related to Project ORCHID for a defined period of time. This position will be responsible for maintaining the Production Planning for the Bactec manufacturing lines and any others assigned. Qualified individual must be able to analyze SAP as well as follow MPS requirements in order to support domestic and international requirements. The individual also must be able to achieve business goals including performance targets for customer backorders, line fill, inventory, stock loss, E&O, production volume and efficiency. Strong collaboration with Master Production Scheduler, Planner / Buyers, Manufacturing Facilitators, QC / QA, WHSE Team and Plant Management is essential for success in this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains the weekly Production Plan for Bactec and any other manufacturing line assigned, based on the Master Production Scheduler (MPS). Monitors actual production against the plan. Provide weekly report to MPS and upper management with reconciliation to target. Work with Master Production Scheduler (MPS) to ensure the aggregate total of the MPS aligns with the monthly Production Plan. Maintains firmed planned orders in planning system per Master Production Schedule. Complete pick lists for Bactec and any other lines assigned. Complete and distribute Bactec weekly schedule (spreadsheet). Also, update previous week output on the same report. Follow up manufacturing / shipping schedule to make sure Belgium plan ships as scheduled. Review Bactec China & Singapore Shipping schedule and STO’s (Stock Transfer Orders) to set up Singapore requirements on Bactec Weekly Plan. Follow up plan completion and communicate any issue to Master Production Scheduler. Also work with warehouse the container requirements needed to ship international requirements and post STO information on WHSE white board. Assist and actively participate on Bactec Operations meeting. Those are Mondays and Fridays from 9:30am to 11am. Assist and participate on QN's meetings when necessary. This is 1 hour a week. Also, must follow up current product on hold for resolution; provide guidance to manufacturing / QC / QA teams in terms of priorities and timelines. Assists and participate on Bactec, and any other lines assigned project meetings. Meet periodically with Master Production Scheduler to discuss issues related to manufacturing, reworks and status to complete shipments on time. In addition, Master Production Scheduler will present B/O report in order to set up a plan to mitigate B/O’s. Timing will be defined by week. Participate on Cayey monthly Supply Consensus meeting and collaborates with internal partners to resolve conflicting priorities. Participate on warehouse Lean Meetings when necessary to discuss international shipments and priorities. Collaborates with Plant Operations to maintain the rough-cut capacity plan by Product family. Provides Available-to-Promise (ATP) and inventory projections to MPS and / or internal partners as needed. Confirms Planning System effectiveness on a weekly basis and works with MPS to address gaps. Collaborates with MPS to implements changes to Supply Network sourcing strategy and transportation modes to address potential stock loss, E&O (Excess and Obsolete), or inventory gaps. Complies with all GMP, regulatory and ISO guidelines including company policies and departmental procedures. Performs other duties and assignments as required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field. 1-2 years Planning experience desired but not necessary.
Experience:
Experience with MS Excel & PowerPoint. Knowledge and experience with ERP/MRP (Enterprise Resource Planning/Material Requirement Planning) systems and integrated Supply Chain systems (i.e. SAP ECC, SCM) a plus. Good negotiation skills with ability to influence at all levels. Good communication and presentation skills. Strong problem solving/analytical skills. Ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts with multiple priorities.
