Excepted Civil Service Technicians are required to maintain a MOS/AFSC and military grade that is determined by the NGB to be compatible with the assigned technician position. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must possess more than TWELVE (12) months of specialized experience performing or supervising duties such as working experience of the full range of security and security forces requirements, procedures and tactics; police and law enforcement services; protection level resources; integrated defense; active shooter; less than lethal weaponry; external/internal security response teams; entry control/circulation; biometric identification systems and restricted area badge usage; enforcing pertinent administrative rules and regulations governing traffic control, parking, building or other facility access and breaches in physical security controls; monitoring the locations of all posts, alarm systems, closed circuit television systems and telephone/radio networks; seeking, detecting, and protecting evidence and witnesses at the scene of an incident and detaining witnesses and suspects; working experience with federal laws, regulations, methods, procedures, operating techniques, state, and local laws; performing a full range of operations, preventing or resolving offenses. Education SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: For entry into this specialty, completion of high school or General Equivalency Diploma is mandatory. Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for the grade levels specified.
