SUMMARY: Accountable to ensure alignment to engineering specifications and that scopes of work are developed in compliance to practices, policies and standard operating procedures Assess quality and compliance of project deliverables in accordance with the project scope of work Will work with the business unit Sr Project Manager Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead in technical issues Assist in financial, and interpersonal issues Ensure alignment to engineering specifications Assess project issues and develop solutions to meet scientific, efficiency, quality and client happiness goals Ensure project work follows practices, policies and standard operating procedures Recommend and develop operational or process improvements Executes technical engineering assessments and engineering feasibility studies Establish and achieves project standards for work quality and quantity Ensure project work stays in sync with domestic (may also involve international) regulatory requirements Drive alignment of Commissioning and Qualification requirements with Engineering and Construction Participate in required meetings, activities, and related projects and meaningful interdepartmental activities Handle challenging timelines and prioritize critical tasks Generate periodic updates and prepare formal presentations for required forums Identify or lead focus area projects within the overall function of project management or related projects Provide department management with project management support on an as needed basis Implement tools, techniques and processes to provide or create information to enable informed decision making Liaison with the ETA (Engineering Technical Authority) to ensure alignment to engineering specifications Liaison with department staff, sub or satellite team leaders and members to obtain their continued input and feedback Liaison with industry domain experts to support development of engineering solutions Basic education & experience: Doctorate degree and 2 years of engineering experience in GMP regulated industry. Or Master's degree and 6 years of engineering experience in GMP regulated industry. Or Bachelor's degree and 8 years of engineering experience in GMP regulated industry. Preferred qualifications: Skills in prioritizing multiple responsibilities, priorities, tasks, and projects simultaneously Skills in working under time pressure, and optimally in a team matrix environment Practical project management software and spreadsheet skills, proficient computer operation skills Effective interactions in a team or matrixes environment Broad engineering technical background with specialization in one or more engineering disciplines (i.e. Structural, Mechanical, Electrical or other) Our culture is what makes Amgen a special place to work.
