YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Production Lead, are to:
Champion the development, implementation, and improvement of an ESH, OM, Quality, and MPS;
Drive ESH and Quality operational improvements, metrics tracking and implementation of best practices through team members and peers;
Provide leadership, direction and support necessary to assure compliance with all applicable federal, state, local laws and regulations;
Enable appropriate training, documentation, and monitoring capabilities to ensure standard and optimal procedures are followed in the programs of ESH, OM, and QMS;
Utilize data when driving strategic decisions;
Drive a culture that is dedicated to ESH, OM, and Quality;
Identify, leverage, share and implement best practices/continuous improvement across NA sites;
Report the performance of the ESH, OM, & Quality programs within the site to company leaders and stakeholders;
Perform daily operations as directed by site leadership;
Provide oversight of processes related to ESH, OM, product quality, and compliance in cooperation with seed production management and other stakeholders including but not limited to the global and regional Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams, Global ESH and Regulatory functions;
Gain all external certifications and accreditations and assure complete adherence to quality, stewardship and compliance policies, processes, and requirements;
Adhere to governmental rules and regulations as part of OSHA, Worker Protection Safety and ESH initiatives;
Represent and contribute to the site's involvement to cultivate trust in the community;
Be a member of the Site Leadership Team;
Lead and develop the teams accountable for the Environmental, Health, Safety (ESH), Occupational Medicine (OM) and Quality supporting the plant and field operations at the site;
Develop and implement a site strategy that ensures adequate attention to all compliance programs in conjunction with the Site Leadership and provides overall direction for ESH, OM and Quality ensuring compliance and continuous improvements of these programs;
Have oversight for the implementation of the Monsanto Production System (MPS);
Position entails driving a company vehicle (pooled or assigned to the individual). This may include being required to drive greater than 5,000 business miles annually in a personal, pooled, or rented vehicle OR being expected to frequently drive a pooled car as part of your job duties – regardless of mileage.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with at least six years of experience in a manufacturing, agricultural, ESH, OM, quality, engineering, technical, or related environment;
Results oriented leadership approach;
Experience coaching and developing others;
Proven track record of program development and implementation to gain results;
Capability to clearly present information and influence others through verbal or and written communications;
Ability to make decisions and solve problems while exhibiting situational judgment;
Valid Driver’s License. Driving record (MVR) will be reviewed and must meet guidelines based on the company’s Risk Screening for Hiring Drivers.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of process improvement principles such as Lean and Six Sigma.
Domestic relocation may be provided for this role.
