Review appraisal reports related to real estate used as collateral for commercial and residential transactions.
Essential Duties and Responsubilities 13;
Review residential and commercial appraisal reports to validate accuracy, reasonableness, appraisal methodology, compliance with industry standards, internal policies/procedures and regulatory requirements as applicable. Presents corrections/revisions to appraisers and follows:up on corrective actions. Visits properties when necessary. Maintain thorough and consistent knowledge of appraisal regulatory requirements and USPAP and participate in company compliance initiatives. Assist in building and maintaining appropriate appraisal review and Quality Control processes. Provide exceptional service to office staff and independent contractor appraisers on complex appraisal:related questions and concerns, including questions prior to order placement and/or after report delivery. When required, perform appraisals for certain commercial credit transactions, and prepare Internal Restricted Appraisal Reports.
In addition:
Participate in the Appraisers Evaluation Committee by reviewing the credentials and appraisals of Appraisers Under Consideration and collaborate with management to make determinations on how appraiser candidates should be presented to the Committee.
Minimum Education 13;
Bachelors Degree
PR Appraisal License (EPA)
Knowledge of lending industry, including understanding of USPAP, Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac guidelines, and FHA/HUD guidelines strongly preferred.
Experience 13;
At least two years appraisal experience.
Other Qualifications 13;
