Generalidades

Effectively lead internal and external product quality efforts in support of the business. This includes development of product quality systems; implementing and developing process controls and improvement projects. The incumbent shall administrate quality standards, audit procedures, and provide overall quality assurance direction for all products and processes from plant through distribution.

Responsabilidades

Establish structures/systems to ensure styles are developed with in manufacturing capabilities to produce 1rst quality goods and that quality requirements are documented for each style prior to product adoption.
Understand product expectations and develop training/communication process to transmit quality criteria and specifications to all areas involved prior to commencing production.
Be present at production start-up to ensure production meets all requirements and closely follow up new style production.
Responsible and Key position for understanding product innovations to follow up during production stage and have influence and creativity to persuade from upper management to operators the importance on achieving this expectations.
Responsible for creating, implementing and managing Quality processes in all plant from receiving to Shipping area. This process should be design strategically to sustain Quality in an environment full of flexibility, constant changes in product categories and constructions, multiple styles introduction, changing seasons and raw materials variability that occur in plants.
This position is key to manage all Quality criteria and expectations of different product lines or types products including previous and post process and should communicate it properly through the organization.
Create systems or process for feedback, follow up and communication with Suppliers around the world of performance or issues that need to be resolved. The amount of suppliers to review can reach up to more than 70 suppliers per month with a large variety of skus depending to the product mix and type of business unit.
Perform quality engineering activities and tasks on critical quality variables such as garment and fabric shrinkage, length, weight; any defect etc., resulting in process capability determination as well as management recommendations. This is to be done as part of the product qualification process as well as for ongoing production qualification.
This position has the authority in the facility to prevent non-conforming product from being manufactured or shipped and to reject incoming raw materials to suppliers.
Responsible to lead and influence the senior leadership of the facility to have a defined and used process for creating, executing and following up of actions plans or improvement events to resolve any quality-related issues that occur in the facility or to recover from negative trends in key performance quality indicators.
Manage proper internal and external communication in quality issues resolution. This position has relationship with all areas of the business, since he has resources place in each step of the process and his decisions may have an impact in several areas.
Responsible to make Quality business decisions that looks towards not affecting Quality of the product and Service. The position has the empowerment to request the participation of Sr Quality management and any other areas such as planning, product development, procurement, etc. in region and in USA corporate offices as needed for the decision making or solution of a particular issue.
Document, analyze and track quality targets performance, Report, document and Publish results.
Assess quality processes, practices and capability. Recommend suppliers for business or disqualify suppliers based on quality criteria.
Ensure up-to-date quality standards, manuals, specifications, procedures and audit procedures are implemented, maintained and administered properly.
Manage and provide quality training as required or based on analyzed necessities.
Provide resources and expertise to assist in the assessment of quality complaints and provide feedback
Develop, sponsor, and promote associate task forces to drive continuous improvement to improve products and processes.
Develop Strategic and creative campaigns to drive others towards a Quality Culture, strategic and creative enough to influence and reach plant managers, plant staff management and from 350 up to 3000 persons in a facility, and sustain in plants operating in several buildings in 1 shift or up to 4 shifts day and night systems.

Requerimentos

Academic background: BS or BA -Industrial Engineer or related
Experience: 3 years of experience in Quality, Engineer, Production, Manufacturing and /or Logistic.
Must be fully bilingual (Spanish & English)
Knowledge of statistics basic tools.
Lean Six Sigma knowledge.
Advanced excel skills.
Analytical skills.
