Recreation Attendant
Department:Recreation
Reports to:Club Assistant General Manager/ Recreation & Retail Supervisor
Rate:$7.40 p/h
General Purpose:Creates a positive experience by assisting guests and members with indoor and outdoor recreation activities. Works closely with daily operation in recreation areas.
Essential Duties:
Provide sincere, courteous and exceptional customer service to all guests.
Deliver a positive image by developing a close rapport with members and guests.
Promotes recreation activities and services and implementation of corporate policies.
Ensures Resort rules and regulations are being followed by all members and guests.
Provides information of equipment use to all members and guests.
Maintains the overall upkeep and cleaning duties of all recreation areas, including storage, and surroundings.
Assist with equipment maintenance program on a daily and weekly basis.
Assist with setup and execution of member activities and any other activities held by the club or recreation department.
Delivers excellent service to exceed guest satisfaction, in a timely and effective manner.
Maintains area is in a neat, clean and orderly condition. Monitors facilities for continual quality assurance and attention to detail.
Assist in monthly equipment and retail inventories.
Assist with inventory of all supplies.
Maintains flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the Department Head.
Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
Regular and reliable attendance.
Performs other duties as required.
Education/Experience:Associate degree; or up to one-year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Fully Bilingual (English & Spanish)
Physical Demands:Frequently stands, walks, uses hands to finger, feel or handle talks or Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches. Regularly lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
Environment/Noise:Regularly works in wet or humid condition (non-weather). Occasionally works in areas with moving mechanical parts; may come into contact with fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions.
Certificates/Licenses:Valid Driver’s License.
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences
Ability to read and speak English and Spanish may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
Experience with computerized POS and reservation system.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
