Strategic Resources, Inc. SRI is seeking committed and passionate professionals to provide critical services to Reserve Component Service Members, Veterans and their Family Members.

Overview:SRI is preparing to support the National Guard Bureau’s Reserve Component Transition Assistance (RCTA) Program. The program provides Transition Assistance Advisors located in the 50 states, 3 territories (Guam, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands) and the District of Columbia to serve as points of contact and coordinators, and to provide technical support to managers, supervisors, Reserve Component members, veterans, other service members and their family members as to the benefits and entitlements available through the TAP. SRI seeks to hire a five Regional Transition Assistance Advisors to coordinate regional transition assistance support/operations.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
Manages and coordinates Transition Assistance activity within their respective region.
Responsible for conducting periodic reviews and analysis of program Ops and training.
Ensures current Transition Assistance program services and activities are in accordance with the program goals and objectives as set forth in DODI 1332.35, DTM 12-007, and the Services publications.
Coordinate dates, locations and TAA attendance at Community Care Unit (CCU) musters or other training events for state TAA attendance
Attend CCU musters in their regions; prepare and submit After Action Reports (AAR).
Follow SOP protocol for demobilizations;
Maintain proficiency in Service Specific Transition Reporting Systems and reporting procedures to ensure Veteran Opportunity to Work (VOW) compliance.
Maintain communication with state TAA regarding mobilization and demobilization operations within their region.
Prepare an Individual Transition Packet (ITP) and Transition Assistance Program (TAP) Checklist for Reserve Component Service Members (DD2648-1).
Provide outreach services to service members within their region.
At the request of a State TAA or the at the direction of the PM/DPM provide back up and administrative support to a State TAA
Required Education, Experience, Skills & Abilities:
Minimum of an Associates Degree (Bachelors Degree Preferred) or equivalent work-life experience in fields such as the veterans administration, social services, human resources, employment services or a related field in counseling, behavioral science, social science, Human Resource Management or Education.
Military experience is preferred but not required.
Broad knowledge, experience, and skills in the areas of military personnel, and human resources, especially as they relate to translating military service to civilian employment.
Prior experience and knowledge of the following Transition Assistance Program activities is preferred:=623; Department of Veterans Affairs programs and policies, =623; National Cemetery Administration;=623; TRICARE programs and policies;=623; Pre and post mobilization entitlements/requirements;=623; Medical hold over status;=623; Active Duty Medical Extension (ADME) and Transition Assistance for Military Personnel (TAMP);=623; DoD Transition Assistance Program (DoDTAP) =623; Army TAP XXI and Air Force AFIRST database;=623; VOW requirements;=623; The Career Readiness Standards;=623; CAPSTONE requirements;=623; Reserve Component statuses and entitlements.
Be a superb written and verbal communicator; adept at public speaking and able to conduct briefings to small and large groups of stakeholders, beneficiaries and Reserve Component leadership.
Ability to perform outreach and to work collaboratively with Reserve Components of all Services, the Department of Veteran’s Affairs, TRICARE, and other Federal, State, Local and Community Support Organizations in support of Transition Assistance Programs and their beneficiaries.
Must maintain a valid, unrestricted motor vehicle license and have transportation.
Be computer literate and shall possess the basic computer skills necessary to prepare briefing slides and program documentation, enter data in required management reports and utilize information systems to prepare required reports and information.
Applicants must successfully undergo a National Agency Check (NACI) background investigation.
