SUMMARY: Following the expectations set by the Geographic SHE Leader and working with the site management team, this position has the responsibility for the implementation of the SHE management system with the assigned organization (plants, labs, administrative facilities etc.) in order that the site/business/company objectives are met and the license to operate is maintained Serves as the primary contact for any SHE matters requiring escalation, notification, and /or immediate action. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure SHE work processes, standards and procedures are effectively applied within the site through role assignment and training. Utilize the Expertise Centers and obtain clear interpretations for issues. Sets standards, compiles reports and submits to various regulatory agencies. Able to lead and participate in company/ business level initiatives and teams to drive SHE improvements. Provides guidance Occupational Health and Safety with emphasis on prevention and/or correction of potentially unsafe working conditions due to exposures. As member of the Injury and Illnesses Classification Team, participates in the classification process of any incidents at the plant. Leads or supports PSM program for compliance collaborating with the plant PSM champions and sponsors. Provide functional guidance to site PSM element champions and sponsors and facilitates links to corporate resources. Ensure that all champions maintain their trainings current and helps with the development of PSM Element Champions. Ensures timely and effective completion of PSM and safety Corrective Actions. Oversee operation of CAR system, monitor performance metrics and review periodically with plant management Direct efforts during first and second party audits on PSM Accountable to ensure ETQ Reliance Module is used and tracked effectively. Adhere to and set the example for the company core values (Safety & Health, Environmental Stewardship, Highest Ethical Behavior and Respect for People). Responsible during an emergency event to ensure site conditions are safe to operate in coordination with the Emergency Response team.
