For more information, visit www.ethicon.com. Summary: The position is responsible for the planning, alignment and execution of Supply Chain Plan activities related to approved and funded projects. The position owner represents the Plan organization in New Product, Life Cycle Management and Network project initiatives. The position coordinates and communicates global supply chain design, partners with several organizations as required (with Commercial for launch activities; with Regulatory for re-registration implications impacting planning and inventory strategies; with external/internal manufacturing sites on capacity assessments; and others as required). Responsibilities: • Be responsible for the end to end planning, alignment and execution of Supply Chain activities related to high visibility, approved, and funded projects. • Develop and implement an efficient, robust and compliant end-to-end supply chain for our new products. • Represent the E2E supply chain within the new product introduction process as of start of full development, as the key contact to coordinate and communicate global supply chain design and launch activities with global/ regional commercial organization, regulatory departments and manufacturing plants. • Develop launch plans with the key stakeholders and prepare for operational launch readiness. Define and implement an integrated, documented process with performance metrics to assess Supply Chain performance, and supplement the Stability Metrics • Plan for seamless transitions from the as is configuration to the to be state, incorporating Process Excellence Six Sigma and Lean. • Provide strong connectivity with existing supply chain processes – GOALS, S&OP, Inventory Management, interdependent projects. • Develop and organization capable to meet a dynamic business environment, recruit and maintain high performing associates. Responsible for managing all Supply Chain Plan deliverables on assigned projects. • Ensure that projects support the achievement of the PLAN metrics for the Ethicon franchise by assuming project planning processes drive results in customer service and inventory. • Participate in the project’s cross functional teams and provide PLAN input & strategy. • Develop, implement, and execute improvements in Ethicon PLAN Projects processes. Ensure that those improvements are sustainable and utilized actively by the Supply Chain Projects team. • Coach/mentor and potentially manage Supply Chain Project Leaders and/or Specialists focused on New Products Introductions and Lifecycle Management changes. • Assist in resource assignment to the various projects that are impacting the supply chain and overall project prioritization. Qualifications • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Business, Finance, Logistics or Engineering. Master’s degree in Supply Chain or Logistics or MBA in related fields preferred • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in manufacturing and/or logistics required • Health care industry experience preferred • Supply and/or Demand Planning experience required • Project management experience required • Experience in a management/supervisory role preferred • Demonstrated leadership and management skills and an understanding of business beyond core functional expertise required • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) required • Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) systems required • Must have strong analytical problem-solving skills required • Demonstrated abilities to manage complexity within a global environment required • The ability to collaborate with all levels of management in a matrix environment required • Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification preferred • APICS and FPX Certifications preferred • This position is located in Somerville, NJ or Guaynabo, Puerto Rico and will require up to 20% domestic and international travel.
