The Senior Sales Representative – Immunology Primary Care is responsible for maximizing business opportunities in targeted physician/ practitioner offices in the Mi Salud segment. The functions include: disease awareness of disease states for early referral and early diagnosis; promotion of HUMIRA to increase brand awareness at PCP level; promotion of Patient Support Services (i.e. miHUMIRA, Advocates) to maximize enrollment and HUMIRA's value proposition; working with all internal partners and external customers to ensure that key business opportunities are maximized in local geographies; understand the Mi Salud segment business model and collaborate in insight gathering; and medical education program development to ensure increased disease awareness and acceptance of promoted product. Key Responsibilities Include: Promote HUMIRA indications and increase Mi Salud HUMIRA volume through effective territory management and crisp sales execution. Develop annual Territory Presentation with goals and objectives to increase HUMIRA Rx volume and market share in target accounts across the FDA approved indications. Routinely identify local opportunities and threats and develop/modify business plans accordingly. Anticipate change and take proactive measures to address. Analyze market dynamics and utilize available information/resources to ensure that every opportunity to meet/exceed goals is maximized. Appropriately and effectively utilize available resources to drive sales with key customers. Monitor progress toward meeting/exceeding established target account market share and Rx growth targets. Represent AbbVie as the partner of choice in the Immunology space. Develop a platform of clinical excellence and consistently enhance clinical knowledge. Identify and utilize appropriate clinical support as appropriate. Offer continuing education opportunities, as appropriate; and continually educate self on latest information related to disease states, treatments and the changing business environment. Communicate effectively and consistently on opportunities, threats or other market dynamics. Basic: An essential requirement of your position is to meet health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements to gain entry into facilities and organizations that are in your assigned territory. These HCIR credentialing requirements may include, but are not limited to, background checks, drug screens, and proof of immunization/vaccination for various diseases. Bachelor's degree, biological sciences, pharmacy, or business related field. Minimum of 3 years of successful Specialty sales experience. Able to demonstrate strong account management skills. Preferred: Proven excellence in multiple settings (i.e. All Star in multiple roles, franchises, and/or companies). Understands key market segments and drivers (i.e. providers, payors, integrated delivery networks, distributors, specialty pharmacy, patients, patient advocates and policy makers). Key Leadership Competencies: Builds strong relationships with peers and cross functionally with partners outside of team to enable higher performance. Learns, fast, grasps the "essence" and can change the course quickly where indicated. Raises the bar and is never satisfied with the status quo. Significant Work Activities and Conditions Driving a personal auto or company car or truck, or a powered piece of material handling equipment Educational Requirements: Minimum Education: 4 year Bachelor's degree required BA/BS Sales ability/persuasiveness, use of appropriate interpersonal style and communication methods to facilitate an acceptance of an idea, plan, activity or product from targeted customers.
