Summary: Responsible for meeting the production plan for external and internal customers worldwide, and to supervise an operation and ensure compliance to GMP guidelines. Principal Responsibilities: Act as project leader for manufacturing and or process improvement projects. Help to develop improved systems for basic accountability, such as attendance and disciplinary issues. Identify and eliminate reasons for any chronic parts shortages or root-cause production slowdowns. Identify mistake-proof systems that can be put in place to eliminate such issues going forward. Maintain and review customer-level and in-process defect data and identify highest frequency and most critical failure modes. Maintain monitoring systems that improve visibility into key production aspects such as in-process defects, scrap and in-process inventory levels. May establish and manage relationships with outside vendors to support department. May have specialized technical skills, such as molding/extrusion knowledge or wide scope of Haemonetics manufacturing experience enabling their contribution/leadership on a variety of manufacturing challenges. May supervise 2nd/3rd shifts in absence of other staff support structure requiring independent dependable decision making. Play an active role in the continuous improvement program for the department and write and execute protocols leading to quality and productivity improvements. Provide supervisory leadership to help develop a strong and confident team to met department goals. Supervise a large group of personnel in meeting team and organization goals, including achieving quality targets, production plans and department budgets. Complete performance reviews for all individuals, and work with manager to groom high-potential individuals within your department to assume leadership roles and move the operation forward.
