Summary: Accountable for the materials planning and analysis activities of raw materials and packaging components to support the commercial/non-commercial manufacturing and packaging activities including the coordination of materials supply, relationship with vendors, cycle time and inventory monitoring, management of obsolete materials review process, change control process, quality events, master data and the creation and distribution of site metrics analysis and reports. The incumbent must comply with all Security guidelines, Environmental Health and Safety regulations and the current Good Manufacturing Practices required by the job function. Responsibilities: 1. Plans, orders and schedule corresponding raw, semi-finished and/or packaging components for all production related activities, including commercial/non-commercial requirements, special projects, new products and regulatory artwork changes. 2. Creates, maintains and uses order exception reports and metrics to rate vendors on quantity, quality, and consistent on-time delivery. Monitors and assures that relevant Master Data is accurate. 3. Analyzes materials required (considering material availability and release dispositions) for both manufacturing and packaging, sharing any potential shortage risk with Senior Detailed Scheduler, Senior Replenishment Planner, Replenishment and Master Planning Manager, Senior Lab Capacity Planner, Operations, and Global procurement. Works closely with Senior Detailed Schedulers and Senior Replenishment Planners to understand the total requirements for purchased materials. 4. Resolves invoice discrepancies to ensure adequate Accounts Payable process. 5. Coordinates and seeks resolution with vendors on material quality issues and returns based on current SOP's. 6. Monitors and assures that relevant Master Data is accurate. 7. Coordinates with vendor adequate shipment mode to ensure that required materials are available to meet the Production schedule and seeks resolution on materials quality issues and returns. 8. Leads the investigation process in the quality events related to the Supply Chain area in particular the events related to raw materials and packaging components. 9. Actively participates in the Materials Review Board to coordinate proper disposition of obsolete materials, slow moving materials, materials on hold, restricted and block materials. Follow up on obsolete materials destruction. 10. Leads raw materials and packaging components changes related to vendor notifications and major changes in packaging components through the site change control process. 11. Active member of the new products launch team in charge of the new materials procurement process. 12. Participates on special projects as required (e.g., SAP, product changes, optimization initiatives, etc.). 13. Assists in preparation of department presentations. 14. Performs as the back-up person for the Senior Detailed Scheduler function. 15. Implement the Vendor Performance Metric and Vendor Management System. Knowledge/Skill: Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Materials Management. Five (5) years of experience in Production Planning/Scheduling, Materials Analysis, and Inventory Control within a pharmaceutical manufacturing operation. Good knowledge of computerized production, inventory control and purchasing systems. SAP knowledge required. Knowledge of cGMP's, Federal and State regulatory requirements, Company policies/procedures, and documentation practices. Excellent communications skills (Oral and Written) in English and Spanish. Abiility to organize and managing multiple priorities and meet ambitious timelines. Working knowledge personal computers of computer applications such as Microsoft Office. Strong interpersonal, teamwork skills, and ability to develop and maintain effective professional relations with internal/external Colleagues at all levels across the organization and to integrate actions toward objectives.
