Position Summary:
Executes work orders for all electrical systems in the plant to ensure that all equipment is in a safe and accurate operating condition in accordance to Baxter standards and cGMP. The electrical technician repairs, maintains and installs wiring, motors, transformers, generators, lighting and other electrical systems.
Essential Duties:
Assist in the developing programs for new equipment and mayor repairs.
Maintain electrical equipment and maintain high voltage systems.
Read and interpret drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and specifications of electrical systems to ensure that installations and operations conform to standards.
Support on the define of critical assets based on consequence, and the risk to the business, weighting values to determine asset criticality in areas as: Safety, Environmental, Capacity, Cost and Production/Process quality.
Support mechanical troubleshooting or repair activities cause of electrical or failure of operational equipment and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
Support in the development wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and engineering specifications for system or equipment modification or expansion, and directs personnel performing routine installation and maintenance duties.
Executes and records periodic electrical testing, and recommends or initiates modification or replacement of equipment which fails to meet acceptable operating standards.
Complies with the use of required personnel protective equipment.
Perform LOTO (Lock out tag out) safety procedures.
Follow the electrical program established in the plant.
Capable to read, understand, and follow NEC (National Electric Code)
Qualifications:
Education:Associate Degree o Technical Diploma
Profession License or Certification Required:Electrician License
Professional Experience:Three (3) or more years of relevant electrical experiences.
Language:Fully Bilingual - written and spoken English & Spanish
Regulations:Comprehensive knowledge of cGMP, FDA and EHS regulations. Strong OSHA & EHHS knowledge.
Technical Qualifications:Computer literate (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook). Ability to operate electronic equipment. Must be able to work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays. Be able to interpret and apply maintenance, repair, inspection and compliance codes or standards. Ability to understand technical drawings. Strong knowledge in Power Distribution Systems. Robust electrical work experience. Decision Making & Technical Learning skills are essential.
Desirable:
Power Systems (4160V, 480/208V)
Electrical Motors experience
PVC Coated Pipping
Arc Flash knowledge
Basic Controls and Automation Knowledge
