Responsible of providing corrective and preventive maintenance to biotechnology manufacturing equipment and clean utilities generation equipment complying with Abbvie policies, ABL operational procedures and Food & Drug Administration's (FDA) current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) regulations and requirements maintaining a high reliability level in a safe and effective manner. Perform in a daily basis the corrective and preventive maintenance work orders of utilities equipment such as multi-effect stills, clean steam generators, reverse osmosis units, softeners, air compressors, among others and manufacturing equipment such as bioreactors, chromatography columns, ultrafiltration skids, among others in a properly and effective manner as assigned. Document the corrective and preventive maintenance activities complying with Department's operational procedures and cGMP requirements. Attend and complete the required internal training regarding industrial hygiene, occupational safety and good manufacturing practices. Use the required personal protective equipment (PPE) and notify the Supervisor any incident or work-related unsafe conditions. Analyze and diagnose any failure or breaking in manufacturing and utilities equipment and recommend preventive maintenance, equipment improvements and tools to prevent failure re-occurrence. Assist and provide support to Engineering and other Maintenance sections in the planning and execution of projects and preventive/corrective tasks with maintenance technicians with higher experience as assigned. Associate Degree in Engineering or Mechanical Technology or Industrial Mechanics. In the case of welder, provide Industrial Welder Technical Course in addition to associate degree. No previous experience required but desirable. Multi-tasking ability skills. Usage and interpretation skills of equipment manuals, specifications, shop mathematics, drawings, operational procedures and knowledge in general mechanical principles. English and Spanish verbal and written skills. Computerized systems oriented skills. Inter-personnel relations skills. Basic mathematics knowledge skills.
