General Description
Plans, manages and controls the operational phase of a support or business unit. Supports management by analyzing and coordinating office services such as budget preparation and control, equipment utilization, records control, and special management studies. Analyzes, develops and recommends new procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Identifies administrative needs and develops appropriate solutions or recommendations. Analyzes procedures and workflows of a division or program in order to improve its effectiveness, efficiency and performance standards. Recommends and manages new procedures in support to business strategic goals. Recommends improvements in such areas as purchasing, accounting, budget development, and administration. Prepare reports that include cost analyses, comparative financial data, and informational data to support findings. Reviews and analyzes budget reports, and prepares and develops budget modifications and recommendations. Issues and interprets operating policies. Interprets and applies laws, rules, and regulations applicable to the unit. Coordinates collection and preparation of operating reports such as time and attendance records and budget expenditures. Prepares reports, and reviews and answers correspondence. Organizes and facilitates meetings, conferences, presentations and other special events; as appropriate.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities but in special circumstances may lead the work of others.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration
Experience
Three years related experience. Some experience in directing the work of others or managing projects is preferred.
