There are multiple career paths available for advancement.POSITION: Mail and Package HandlerCATEGORY: Plant OperationsSALARY RANGE: Median Pay $39,710.00 annually / $21.24 per hourGENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – Job duties and schedules vary by category, some positions may be part-time or seasonal and do not include full benefits. Performs mail handling, mail processing, or a combination of such duties.Separates all classes of mail.Culls, faces, and cancels mailLoads, unloads, and moves bulk mail. Empties mail from mail containers (bags, hampers, etc.) and loads mail into mail containers. Performs other duties incidental to the moving and processing of mail and related mail handling equipment.In addition, may perform other miscellaneous duties, as assigned.Exercises normal protective care for equipment and materials used.Exercises a normal regard for the safety of self and others. Operates equipment assigned to the jurisdiction of the Mail Handler Craft.EXAMINATION REQUIREMENTS: This job has an exam requirement. Currently, applicants for this posting who do not yet have an exam score are being invited to take the exam.
