Animal Care Attendant/Dog Walker

As an Animal Care Attendant/Dog Walker for Amigos de los Animales in Loiza PR, you will play a role in the daily lives of our dogs. Your responsibility will be to provide our dogs with regular walks and lead our volunteer dog walks, ensuring they get the exercise and stimulation they need. You will also be responsible for monitoring the dogs' health and behavior during walks and providing feedback to the shelter staff. And maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our facility, ensuring the health and well-being of our animals and visitors.Requisitos:Responsibilities: - Safely walk dogs of various sizes and breeds, adapting the pace and style of walk to meet their individual needs. - Ensure all dogs are securely leashed and under control at all times. - Monitor each dog's health and behavior, reporting any concerns to the shelter staff immediately. - Maintain a clean and safe environment, disposing of waste properly during walks. - Provide basic obedience training during walks, reinforcing good behavior. - Engage with the public in a positive manner, representing the shelter's mission and values. - Daily cleaning and sanitizing of animal enclosures and common areas. - Laundry duties and restocking of cleaning supplies. - Lead Saturday clean up - Ensuring the outdoor areas are clean and waste-free. - Adhering to all health and safety protocols. - Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs. *Bilingual is a must
