Position Description Purchases and schedules the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods and related material through production and inventory process. Identifies raw material, component, and related requirements from engineering and production specifications and purchases. Follows up on orders placed, approves payment, and maintains necessary records of material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory cycle(s). Follows up with Strategic/Operations Buyers for production, warehouse, and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate procurement, scheduling, and movement of materials and services. Position Responsibilities Create and maintain production material purchase orders Receive and process requisitions into purchase orders (Development, MRO, etc.) Review and resolve invoice issues daily Use tools and systems to review for material shortage issues/concerns and take appropriate action Communicate with suppliers for delivery issues and expedite when necessary Work with Receiving and Inspection to expedite items as needed Set-up and maintain items in JDE and SAP Adjust system parameters for optimal inventory levels Maintain import compliance records Manage Material at Vendor (MAV) as needed P - Card maintenance Review and manage intercompany shipment requests (Pipeline for purchased parts) Review reports and take action for Shelf life and Retest items Set-up and maintain suppliers on Supplier Network Collaboration system (SNC) Solve one-time, near term supply issues Support and work on yearly pricing standards Coordinate returns and replacement of defective material Performs other position duties as assigned. Quality Responsibilities Reports any observed or informed process and/or product non-conformities to the Supervisor for action and resolution. Reports any complaint regarding a Medtronic product to the Supervisor. Complies with all the requirements in the operational procedures at the area of responsibility in order to meet the requirements of all applicable Quality System Regulations (e.g.: FDA Part 820 Quality System Regulation, ISO 13485 Quality Standard, R-PAL (Japanese QSR's). EHS Responsibilities Acknowledges and maintains commitment with the EHS Policy. Participates in the development of EHS improvement projects. Participates actively in the EHS programs to achieve the objectives and targets defined for the area. Minimizes all possible negative EHS impacts of daily operations and activities. Minimum Education Bachelor Degree Basic Qualifications Background Educational: Business Administration, Materials Management, Supply Chain or related field Experience: o Associate Level: 0 Years with Bachelors o Intermediate Level: 3 Years with Bachelors or 0 Years with Masters Exposure to supply chain, planning, purchasing, materials and inventory control environment.
