The Security Officer performs security duties under the direction of the Security Supervisor and mentoring and coaching of Security Coordinator. Ensures the protection of property from theft or vandalism, the safeguarding of employees and others on company property and the maintenance of a safe and secure environment for all co-workers. Maintains a safe and secure environment for employees, contractors, visitors and customers by patrolling and guarding facilities and personnel. Complies with DEA security standards for controlled substances and regulatory agency requirements. Projects the image of the company by effectively handling customer calls and professionally greeting all visitors and co-workers. Is part of the rapid response team in the Emergency Management Plan.Requisitos:• High School Diploma • One year experience as Security, police department or customer services, preferred.• Surveillance Skills• Good judgment, and safety oriented• Reporting Skills• Must have effective legible written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish• Being courteous, pleasant and professional with all staff, visitors and contractors is required.
