Job Purpose/Overview
The aim of the Mars Category Dev Leader is to increase sales and earnings potential in the category and further expand MARS leadership in Supermarket channel. The role (Shopper expertise and insights) forms the basis for the definition of Mars Category strategy, Operations superior, Customer strategies and tactics in the context of category management projects.
Category management is therefore responsible for the strategic product line development, the definition of positioning guidelines and the development and implementation of promotional plans and promotions under Category Management projects with trading partners. The permanent review and adjustment of product groups, taking account of the shopper behavior is also one of the main tasks, such as controlling the CATMAN projects and actions for assigned channel.
The Category Leadership department works very closely with the marketing and sales.
Key Responsibilities
Implementation of Category Management projects with major trading partners of the channels for the purpose of strategic cooperation (Category Partners) to maximize Pet Food and Confectionery category potential and increase the efficiency and effectiveness in the context of CATMAN projects continuously.
